In a world where theories and ideals are constantly shifting, where new discoveries are made as we speak and technology is advancing at an alarmingly fast rate, there is a possibility that the out of the world inventions and contraptions described in science fiction and Marvel comic books could one day come to life.

To be fair, the idea of a device that can solve complex mathematical functions in fractions of a second might have been considered to be science fiction in the 1800’s but today calculators are part of our reality. So 20 years down the lane, there is a chance that we might have hover boards and light sabers at our disposal!

But for the present, I could live without a flying skateboard. What I really need is a headband that is capable in making a 45 min nap feel like a 4 hour sleep to be discovered pronto. Imagine sleeping in the bus for a half hour and then waking up refreshed and energized for a day at school. Now that would be a creation any A level or IB student would love to get their hands on!

Another useful creation I stumbled on while surfing the web was put forward in a book called Who Moved My Choose? : An Amazing Way to Deal With Change by Deciding to Let Indecision Into Your Life.

“I wish my stove came with a Save As button like Word has. That way I could experiment with my cooking and not fear ruining my dinner.”
Jarod Kintz

Maybe this piece of writing is a by-product of my wishful thinking and my delusionary mind at 2 am in the morning, but don’t forget the fact that all inventions start with an idea that pops up in your head, no matter how unrealistic it may seem. So let your creative juices flow and mention below an invention you’d like to be introduced to the world for the benefit of humankind.
