The history of mathematics concerns one of the most magnificent, surprising, and powerful of all human achievements. The German mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss called mathematics the “queen of the sciences” because it was so successful at uncovering the nature of physical reality.

Keeping the universal application of Mathematics in daily life, the Maths department of The Oxford School organized the 4th Inter-House Maths quiz on 7th and 9th January 2014 for junior andsenior boys respectively.

The environment of the competition was electrifying as each team tried their best to compete against the other house teams and win the title of the Winner House for the year 2013 – 2014.

Moreover, the audience showed deep interest in the competition and supported their teams with applauses and cheers for the winning house.The participants enthusiastically answered the questions  put forth for them to answer.

Ruby House in junior category and Topaz House in senior category were adjudged winners of the competition.
